The covid 19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic. By now we all know about  Covid 19 well. Because, we have been living with this pandemic for more than one year. This was started in December 2019 from Wuhan, China. and  starting from there, the virus has spread to all over the world. In the year 2020, this pandemic spread to Sri Lanka as well. Corona virus is a large family of viruses and now  there are many variants appearing from various countries. The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles. The main Symptoms are Cough, Fever, Headache,  loss of taste or smell  , Sore throat, Shortness of breath, Muscle pain. But sometimes COVID-19 symptoms change from person to person depend on their health issues. Mainly  this virus attacks for the other chronic diseases in the human body also. Covid pneumonia is the most dangerous illness occurred by infecting this virus. Large amount of deaths have being occurred due to this corona virus so far. Several vaccines have invented and the main purpose of vaccination is to decrease deaths. This pandemic has resulted severe social and economic disruption around the world, including the largest global recession. WHO has already given the health guidelines and following those guidelines is the only way to survive from this pandemic.

It was my first ever experience. This was happened in 2017, When I was in grade '12'. I participated for a International Folk Dance Festival in Sardinia, Italy. The competition was carried out for two weeks and there were contestants from various countries such as Taiwan, Uruguay, Mexico, Russia etc. We got the opportunity to see various folk dancing items but which I learned there was nothing can compared to our traditional dancing culture. The audience was amazed with our performance and we got so many  appreciations as well. The opportunity I got to represent my country in front of a different audience was amazing and the experience I gained was immense. Our Little princess turning one

Last Tuesday was an unforgettable day for my family. It was my elder sister's daughter’s 1 st birthday. When I got up in the morning my mother was busy making “Kiribath”. My dad was doing gardening early in the morning and my sister and brother were getting ready for the birthday party. I was looking for our sweet little angel and there she is, still sleeping with her favorite teddy bear “Pooh”. She is turning one and still can’t believe that a whole year has been passed with so many sweet memories to cherish. She is the first baby of our family so ever yone's  love is with her always. I still can remember the first day how she came to our home from the hospital. After making all the arrangements we started our party in the evening. Some of our relatives gathered with us for the party. Everyone was eagerly waiting to see the birthday girl. At last she came wearing a beautiful pink color frock with her cute little smile. Happiness is something which we can feel from our inside. The way we can express our happiness is smile. It is something which we have in good ways. There are people who look happy from outside. But from inside they are sad. But true happiness is where we feel   within ourselves and looks happy from outside as well. Some people believe happiness is money. But it is a wrong idea. People can live happily if they can rich, but being rich is not happiness. If so all the richest people should be the happiest people in the society. But it is not true. Money cannot buy happiness. There are many people who don't have money but they spend their lives happily with their families. The main reason is, they are not stressed and insecure as rich people because they don't have money.
